Ok. So here's the scoop. I read the second book of the twilight series (stephanie meyer) a while ago, and thought it was sooo horribly written that I would never read one of her novels again. However, when I said this to people, they told me to get the first book and read it, and then judge her. So that I did.

HOLY HELL I HATE THE SERIES SO MUCH! >=[
I don't understand why people like it. At all. Here's a list of (some) of the many things that piss me off about the series.

-Who wants to read a book about a girl who constantly COMPLAINS ABOUT HER OWN LIFE? Her problems are self inflicted, and she won't do anything about them. Her mother offers to help, and she's like "naw, I gotta go, bai", and then continues to live in an environment where she is not happy.

-She complains about -everything-, including about how her vampire lover edward thinks she's a freak. HELLO BELLA, YOU HAVE BEEN STARING AT HIM FOR LIKE, 4 HOURS, OF COURSE HE IS GOING TO THINK YOU ARE A FREAK.

-...but wait no, thats totally not going to happen, because Bella is a mary sue in its worst form. Everyone LOVES her. Within 10 seconds, you will fall in love with bella because she's the hottest thing alive and has the best personality in the world....NOT. Throughout the book, she is mean and spiteful, and sooooo veryyy cliched.

-Edward and Bella basically stalk each other and somehow fall in love because of it...freaking stupid imo >>

-Oh...did I mention that vampires can now walk around in daytime? Yep yep, and they SPARKLE. LIKE GLITTER. WTFFFF ><

-The book, in total, was entirely soooo predictable. CLICHED WRITING SHITS ME. And there were sooo many cliches and mary sues and gary stus and it was terrible. =[

-Bella constantly whines about how much she looveeesss edward. "I love edward, but HE IS TOO GOOD FOR ME. BUT WAIT, I ALSO LOVE JACOB. I AM SO CONFUSED AND CONFLICTED. BUT I LOVE THEM BOTH! BUT I LOVE JACOB! OH SHIT, I KISSED JACOB. EDWARD LEFT ME. I AM GOING TO DIE NOW. DIIIE DIIIIIIEE" = that about sums up the first two books.

Ok, now all thats out, I should probably give the reasoning for this rant. I went and saw the Dark Knight (BEST MOVIE EVER, GO SEE IT!!! IT WILL MAKE YOU GRIN!) and there was a movie preview...about making this series into a MOVIE. HOLY HELL NO. JUST GOD DAMN NO. >=[ I COULDN'T EVEN STAND READING IT! >_< They are using the Cedric Diggory (from Harry Potter movies) to play edward, which makes it doubly as gay.

Why can't they just make an anita blake anime? *sulks*
